Discharge method A method in which hot spring water is constantly poured into the tub and overflows without returning to the tub. This method has opposing characteristics to the circulation/filtration method, and is also called the "kakenagashi" or "complete discharge method".
Circuation/
filtration method
A method in which hot spring water is absorbed from a squeezer etc. and is returned to the bath tub for reuse via filtration equipment installed inside in order to eliminate dirt etc. The equipment that performs the series of work is called "circulation/filtration equipment".

A method in which hot spring water is constantly poured into the tub and overflows while also being absorbed by a squeezer etc. and returned to the bath tub for reuse via filtration equipment.
Water addition
method
A method of artificially adding ground water, river water, tap water or well water to hot spring water for various purposes including cooling, dilution or quantitative addition of more water. When hot spring water of a different quality or temperature is mixed together it is considered to be mixed hot spring water, and is distinguished from the water added.

Features of Kaike Onsen

Kaike Onsen is classified as a "sodium / calcium-chloride spring". Since the source temperature is as high as 65 to 83 degrees, it is hydrated for bathing. The origin of Kaike Onsen is thought to be seawater from ancient times, but the calcium content is much higher than that of seawater. It will be in a state. This veil prevents the release of heat after bathing and keeps you warm for a very long time.
